To estimate your potential yearly earnings from each side hustle, we employed a straightforward calculation method:

• Side hustle = 5 to 15 hours a week.

We considered the lower end of the scale – 5 hours a week

• Number of paid holidays per year = 14 days = approximately 3 working weeks
• Number of weeks worked per year = 52.1429 – 3 = 49.1429 weeks
• Number of freelance hours worked per year = 49.1429 x 5 = 245.6145 hours
• 245.7145 hours multiplied by the average hourly rate for each side hustle

To identify the top-paying languages for freelancers in Singapore, we examined data from Upwork, focusing on a selection of 30 languages. We tracked the number of freelancers listing each language as a skill and gathered all available hourly rate information. From this data, we calculated the average hourly rate, which we first presented in USD before converting it into Singapore dollars (SGD) for local relevance.
